archie was started in 2018 by mark smith clarke, a self-taught designer who turned a side project into a full collection. every piece is made in new york using fabrics from japan’s top mills. mark personally handles the patterns, fabric sourcing, trims, and finishing, and even shoots each season’s lookbook himself. the brand is hands-on from start to finish, combining japanese materials with a new york approach to create practical, well-made clothing.
