Grand Gallery
Vintage Poster Scrap is the revised edition of a collection of 464 rare posters, gathered by Yasushi Ide of Grand Gallery. The cover text describes it as a trip through the culture that defined an era. It is a book for looking at as much as reading.
The cover shows a few of the posters inside: The Jam, Phantom of the Paradise, Rockers, The Grateful Dead, Shaft and the American Folk Blues Festival '68. Film, reggae, rock and blues sit side by side. The lettering and layouts are the draw.
The cover is mostly white with heavy black type, so it looks good stacked on a table or stood up on a shelf. Keep it near the turntable and pull it out when you want ideas for what to play or hang.
