These trousers are cut from a coated wool blend flannel in navy. The coating gives the cloth a dry, almost denim-like hand, so it wears more like a sturdy work fabric than a soft winter flannel. The cut is wide and full through the leg, with a high waist and deep pleats that let the fabric drop straight to the shoe. The hem breaks over the top of the foot. Sizes run 46 to 52. Wear them with a boxy button-up and leather loafers, or with a crewneck and a field coat when it gets cold. The dark navy works with browns, grays and creams.
